Invictus mean "Unconquerable" in Latin. Consider for a moment if you will... Your life.
Are you unconquerable? Have you earned the title of "Invictus"?
Before you answer that to yourself read the following poem by William Ernest Henley:
-Invictus-
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years finds,
And shall find me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll.
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.
Are you owning your life? Are you the captain of your soul? Have you determined who you are and what you want to be?
Furthermore... Have you determined What the influences of your life are, and what you want them to do for you? How you want them to interact with your life? How you want them to help advance your goals and dreams?
If you haven't, I promise you that if you will map it out on paper, (I strongly recommend you write it in a journal or something like that). If you will do this, I guarantee your money back, things will start to happen. Positive things... In fact; very positive things.
This is one of the first steps to owning your life. Now get out there Invictus! and OWN YOUR LIFE!
